Refund policy

Every Olive, Ivy & Co. journal is cut, stitched, and finished by hand. We want you to love yours, and if something isn't right, we want to hear from you.

Ready to Ship journals and accessories

You may return Ready to Ship journals, paper inserts, and accessories within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in their original condition, and paper inserts must be unwritten in. Please email us at hello@oliveivyandco.com before sending anything back, and we'll give you return instructions. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or was sent in error.

Custom (made to order) journals

Because custom journals are made specifically for you in the size, color, and paper you choose, they are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged for a change of mind. If there is a defect in workmanship, we will make it right (see below).

Cancellations

Ready to Ship orders can be cancelled any time before they ship. Custom orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase, before work begins. After that, your leather has been cut and the order can no longer be cancelled.

Damaged, defective, or incorrect items

Please look over your order when it arrives. If anything is damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, email us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. We'll repair, replace, or refund it at no cost to you.

About natural leather

We use full-grain, vegetable-tanned Italian leather. Each hide carries its own character, including small marks, color variation, and natural grain, and it will darken and soften with use. These qualities are part of what makes each journal one of a kind and are not considered defects. Colors may also look slightly different on screen than in person.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll email you to confirm. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 5 business days. Your bank may take a few extra days to post it. Original shipping charges are not refunded, and if you used a discount code, the refund reflects the price you paid.

Holiday gifts

Ready to Ship items purchased between November 15 and December 24 may be returned through January 15.
